What is Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is changing the shape of the nose.

What do reduction rhinoplasty and augmentation rhinoplasty mean?

In reduction rhinoplasty we remove part of the hump of the nose to reduce its size.

In augmentation rhinoplasty we graft skin or bone to the bridge of the nose to increase the size of the nose.

How is the surgery done? Will I scar

The incisions are made inside the nose. Sometimes we make some small incisions externally which usually heal quickly.

How long is the recovery time?

Your nose will be swollen and sore for one or two weeks. You may have dark circles under the eyes that will subside in about 10 days. However, the shape of the nose can continue to change for up to one year.

Can something serious happen?

Serious complications are very rare.

Will I sleep during the surgery?

Yes. This is called general anesthesia.

Will I require a splint? How long for?

Yes. The splint is made ​​of metal or plastic. The splint will be removed after a week.
