Microscopic Examination Ears

The microscope provides the opportunity to examine the ear in greater detail which the simple test cannot achieve and thus better diagnose any damage. Also, with the use of the microscope, various minor procedures can be performed in the office under local anesthetic such as, puncture to remove fluid from the middle ear, ventilation tube placement (grommets) etc.

With the help of the microscope, endotympanic cortisone injections and gentamicin for treatment of sudden deafness and Meniere disease can also be done.
